EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

It is not an exaggeration to say that Aegean Docs offers the richest and best educational program in the field, during a film festival in Greece.
AUDIO – VISUAL ARTS AND COMMUNICATION / LEARNING AN AUDIOVISUAL ALPHABET
The Aegean University organized a parallel educational program, economically independent from the Aegean Docs Festival, at the same time in places close to the theaters of the Aegean Docs Festival. In every island of the north Aegean the university organized four hour per day seminars for the general public, between the 8th and the 11th of December, under the scientific supervision of Yannis Skopeteas, lecturer of Script Writing and Directing in the Aegean University. The general public dug into 16 hours of seminars concerning, history, theory and ways of understanding and analyzing films and especially documentary films. Six professors of the University of the Aegean and from other universities, and directors, guests of the Aegean Docs Festival offered the general public their valuable knowledge about the language of audiovisual means and techniques for a whole 16 hours. The attendants got a university certificate for their participation.
